Anne Michal Runs a Half-Marathon

Sometime last summer, Anne Michal set a goal to run the BCS half -marathon in December. She trained throughout the fall with a number of running buddies. A big thank you goes out to all who ran with her and gave her rides home!! Thank you!!!

The banner over the finish line.

The freezing cheering section and some of her running buddies.

Our good friend Robin came into town to run it with her.
Heading to the finish line...they ran about a 10 min mile.
After the race with her medal and a well-deserved one (just in case you have read my thoughts on trophies and awards ;-))

With Robin after the race. They look like they could go again, right? I was so thankful for Robin coming and running it with her and super proud of Anne Michal for setting such a goal and following through with all the hard work it took.

Robin brought a cutie or two, or three or four along with her. :-) Fun times in the Anderson House!

Janey Kate Turns Three!

We are so thankful for this gal's 3 years of life. To say she is lively, is putting it mildly. Honestly, one of the best things about a 3 year old is how the every day life exudes joy. For example, just all of us sitting down to the dinner table, holding hands, and giving thanks makes her bounce up and down and giggle with glee. We could probably all take lessons from that.

One of the best things about having a large family is that everyone is good at something at love to use their gifts. Elizabeth loves to decorate and get things ready for a party.

Jack asked to make Janey Kate mickey mouse pancakes for breakfast. Creed was his assistant as usual.

So excited to be up for her birthday. First thing she asked was, "It my birthday yet?" When she got up from her nap she wanted to know if we had eaten her birthday cake. So funny.
 Jack's pancakes are delicious.
With her presents. All her brothers and sisters got her a little something. Elizabeth decorated the packages with a minnie mouse theme.
She was so excited for presents!!!!

Don't judge the cake. ha!
Apparently, they needed to burn off the sugar!
Calming down and helping Anne Michal peel apples for pie.
