One-pan dark chocolate chunk skillet cookie. You mix it and bake it in a 8 in cast iron skillet. If you don't have one, they are not a big investment. They cost around $10 and last forever. I got the recipe from here. Sophistimom and I must be kindred spirit as we both share a love of Guittard dark chocolate chips. They really are the best. If you are a local reader, you can get them at HEB.I did decrease the butter by a couple of tablespoons and added a 1/4 a cup of peanut butter because we are all peanut butter addicts around here; one of these days I am going to keep track of how many pounds we go through in a month. I also cut back the sugar the second go around and will cut it back even more next time. While we all love our sugar, we tend to like things on the less-sweet side. Here is the list of ingredients and you can check out the instructions on her site by clicking the link above.
one-pan dark chocolate chunk skillet cookie
1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 egg
1 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup chocolate chunks
Our finished cookie...minus a slice.
