Shopping

I detest shopping. I mean I really detest shopping. Just thinking about makes me break out in a cold sweat. If I have to go to the mall, it really is a disaster. I walk in what is a big building but immediately feel claustrophobic. The lights...the sounds...the sights...Just so not my thing. Yesterday, I went shopping because unfortunately I do have to buy new things sometimes. As I was walking through the mall, I thought"People actually do this regularly for fun!" It really was an astonishing thought. To top it off, my trip to the mall was actually wasted since I really went to return some Land's End stuff to Sears only to find they no longer take Land's End return. This means I'll have to shop even more because I can't just order 5,000 things from LE and then return the ones that don't fit to Sears. And the weirdest things I saw yesterday for sale were snow shovels and snow saucers. I am pretty sure that we don't need those any month of the year where we live! I think I'll just stop her and not even delve into the difficulty of finding decent clothing.

BTW, there are no malls out here...just big shopping centers that pretend to be malls :-)
