Celebrating the Move with a Giveaway

A givewaway, a giveaway....why would I do a giveaway? Sometimes you enjoy something so much you want other people to enjoy it as well. That is they way it is with us and this CD:

The Way the Story Goes

by Jamie Soles

The great thing about this CD is that Jamie Soles does a marvelous job of putting bible stories and scripture to music allowing the gospel to shine through. Some of the stories are well known and others a bit obscure and I have been left amazed at what we have learned from this CD as well as the other Jamie Soles CD's we own. And I have to add that the songs are simply a lot of fun to sing! Our kids have made up so many skits to the songs that you probably should be glad I can only upload a 100 MB video!

So I am giving away a copy of The Way the Story Goes to a reader of this blog. Leave a comment before Wednesday at 5 PM and your name will go into a random drawing. If you already own The Way the Story Goes, enter anyway telling why you like this CD or what your favorite song is and if you win you'll have a copy with which to bless another family.

Be sure to check out Jamie Soles' website and music. We own several and love them all.

Below is a video of the kids singing part of Abram from Gen 15. This is one of my favorite songs as it reminds of of God's promises and how we need to trust Him to do what he says; that faith is trusting in what we can't see.

Here are the lyrics for those of you that can't quite understand childrenese:

Abram

Abram why are you so sad?
Is it 'cause there's no-one who can call you their dad?
Abram do not be afraid
I am your shield and your reward will be great
Abram look up in the night
See how many stars there are shining so bright Tell Me,
can you count every one that you see?
So shall your descendants be

Abram believed in this word
God made him right when he believed what he heard
Trusting the promise by faith
Is what God desires of the people He saves

Children, believe in your King
Trusting all that Jesus says in everything
When you have the eyes of faith you truly will see
Abram's children you will be

Children, believe in your King
Trusting all that Jesus says in everything
When you have the eyes of faith you truly will see
Abram's children you will be His children you will be

Ok we own this CD, but since you said to leave a comment anyway, here I am. I love the words to his songs. I love how Gospel centered they are and that my kids are learning meaty Biblical truths when we listen. The tunes are catchy enough to remember, but not be annoying when you find yourself humming them throughout the day and at night when you can't fall asleep.

Pilgrim days, what a perfect name. Pilgrims Progress is my favorite book and the fact that this world is not my home is all that keeps me going. Now I have to confess envy. Sigh. Sin nature.

That Susan, always starting trouble...

Lovely new blog!

I would love the CD. A friend recently introduced me to Jamie Soles (we borrowed their CDs for a little while), but we don't own any of them yet. I am excited to read your new blog!

Hey, can your walking buddy get a chance at the cd? I just listened to the kids singing which caused about 3 other kids to run from various parts of my house to listen. They were impressed. Pass it on.
And I assume that was Jon strumming along so magnificently...someday he'll play for his friends...someday...
I LOVE the new blog.

Hi Rachel, love the new look, and the great video. My Jonathan, when I showed him your kids singing, said "Hey! Are those the kids that sing on the Jamie Soles cd?"
